Kellyane Conway, a prominent Trump advisor, has become famous for her off putting defenses of Trump. When Sean Spicer, White House press secretary, blatantly lied to the press and called Trump’s inauguration crowd “the largest ever,” Conway went on Meet the Press. She was asked why Spicer began his first press briefing by using falsehoods. She infamously replied, “You’re saying it’s a falsehood and Sean Spicer, our press secretary, gave alternative facts to that.” Conway represents this administration’s aversion to the truth like no other surrogate or advisor to Trump.
On Wednesday night, Conway did an interview from outside the White House for Hannity on Fox News. During her bizarre rambling defense of Trump Jr’s meeting with a Kremlin linked lawyer who had promised dirt on Hillary Clinton, Conway pulled out two large flash cards. One had “Conclusion?” written on the top with, “Collusion” crossed out on the bottom. The other had, “Illusion” on top and “Delusion” on bottom. This was odd enough. She then said, “I just want to review in case you run out of time. This is how I see it so far. This is to help all the people at home. What’s the conclusion? Collusion? No, we don’t have that yet. I see illusion and delusion. So just so we’re clear everyone, conclusion? Collusion? No. Illusion, delusion, yes. I just thought we’d have some fun with words.” Here’s the full interview:
Twitter, decided to have some fun with her use of these bizarre flashcards.
